AccorHotels points out that Airbnb mainly impacts rate rather than volume during peak days.
According to the latest China Construction Pipeline report from Lodging Econometrics, the country has 2,435 hotels with 538,836 guestrooms in the works, up 5 percent year-over-year.
Currently, OTA Insight works with 16,000 properties across 134 countries. With this additional round of funding, the firm is aiming to double that number over the next several years.
Despite the growth of the sector, co-working space only accounts for a small portion of Beijing’s office space, which industry players say offers business opportunities.
